Offer made by Novelis, a unit of India’s Hindalco Industries, to take over fellow aluminium products producer Aleris Corp. In Sep 2019, the U.S. Justice Department filed a lawsuit aimed at stopping the takeover, but European Union competition authorities approved it in Oct 2019.
