Domestic Efficient Lighting Programme in Morocco

    Incandescent Lamps (ICLs) are imported annually by Morocco.

    compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) are imported annually by Morocco. The much lower number is on account of the price of CFL being as much as 6 times that of ICLs.

    decrease in power consumption if 40% of ICLs are replaced by the more efficient CFLs experts estimate.

    CFLs will be distributed as part of the "Market Transformation for Efficient Lighting in Morocco" project over a period of 4 years - from 2012 to 2016.
