children ages 8 to 14 and their parents were recently surveyed by TIME for Kids and KidsHealth.org about the time they spend with each other. Here is what they found
Percentage of kids who say they get along very well or pretty well with their moms and dads, while 66% of parents say the same about their kids.
Percentage of kids ages 12 to 14 who say they think their parents are proud of them–well below the 78% of parents who say they are proud of their kids.
Percentage of kids who say they have fun with their parents, which jibes with the 84% of parents who say they have fun with their kids.
Percentage of kids ages 8 to 11 who say they don’t want to be like their parents. Among older kids, that figure jumps to 42%.
