School Administrators in Uganda turning towards energy efficient cookstoves

    school head teachers and directors in Wakiso district in Central Uganda met early last month for a meeting about the benefits of improved cookstoves. Global Village Energy Partnership International (GVEP) brought them together.

    cookstove producers also attended to showcase their products. The meeting sought to compare improved institutional cookstoves with traditional ones, and shape decisions made by school heads.

    heads of schools - from Gayaza High School and Buddo Secondary School have already installed the cookstoves - rallied their counterparts to do the same. They shared their success stories and invited school heads to visit them and get first-hand experience using the stoves.
