These villages in Kundapur run on 100% renewable energy

    Amasebail, Rattadi and Machattu, that fall under the jurisdiction of Kundapur, are one of few to be powered entirely by solar energy.

    in the three villages are reaping the benefits of clean energy. There are 692 families in Amasebail, 534 at Rattadi and 646 in Machattu.
  • Rs 2.13 crore
    cost of the project. Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) granted 30% (Rs 63 lakh), KREDL granted 20% (Rs 42 lakh) and the District Commissioner's fund of Rs 25 lakh was used.
