    planning consent received from the Burdekin Shire Council. Mayor Lyn McLaughlin said the approval was subject to Pacific Hydro meeting specific conditions, including upgrading part of the road used to access the site.

    Pacific Hydro reaches financial close on $115M of non-recourse project financing the project. Finance will be provided by the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited, National Australia Bank Limited and Westpac Banking Corporation.

    Pacific Hydro opens a community grant program - the Haughton Sustainable Communities Fund. This fund will deliver a portion of revenue from the project back into the local community each year, for the life of the solar farm. Each year, eligible community groups and not-for-profit organisations are can apply for project funding up to $10,000 from a pool of $50,000.
