The region has 10 major dams and 446 dams and irrigation projects in all.     Maharashtra State. At 77.02% of its full capacity of 40,779,220 million litres, compared to 56.00% at the same time last year. The state has 141 major dams and 3267 dams and irrigation projects in all. 05 Jul: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde reviewed the rain situation on Tuesday and said over 3,500 people had been shifted to safer places from flood-prone and vulnerable spots across the state, where several districts, including Mumbai, experienced downpour. The state government has deployed 11 teams of NDRF and SDRF to different locations in Maharashtra and kept 9 teams of NDRF and 4 teams of SDRF at base stations. Source: Free Press Journal
