Ghaziabad Development Authority's Efficient Street Lighting upgrade programme

    Total number of High-Pressure Sodium Vapour and Compact Fluorescent street lights that will be replaced with the latest LED technology under the jurisdiction of the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA). The project is expected to get completed within a month.

    Total investment being made for the project and the cost, which includes the maintenance charges, will be borne by GDA. The process will ensure better lighting and will immensely help reduce the electricity bills and maintenance cost according to Ritu Maheshwari, vice-chairperson, GDA.

    The MoU was signed between Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) and Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) - the latter will replace the old lights and also provide five-year maintenance before handing over the lights to the authority.
