    The Minister for Planning approved an amendment to the planning permit to allow for the use of contemporary wind turbine technology. Planning approval was originally granted by the State government in 2010.

Community organisations and groups can apply for small grants through an application process. Advertisements will be placed in local media to promote the program and request applications.

ACCIONA has announced its intention to build an underground transmission line for its new Mortlake South Wind Farm, demonstrating its commitment to working closely with communities to deliver tailored local solutions.

    John Beever Australia (JBA) awarded the D&C contract for the 220KV underground transmission cable. JBA was earlier awarded the contract to complete the civil works package for the project including all roads and hardstands.
