    NET generation capacity added in fiscal 2019-20 across all sources. Total installed capacity = 370,102 MW.

    net capacity addition through thermal (coal, gas and diesel) sources. Thermal capacity added at 31% of total capacity addition. Total thermal installed capacity is now at 230,598 MW.

    net capacity addition through renewable sources (wind, bio, waste to energy and small hydro) sources. Renewable capacity addition at 67% of total capacity addition. Total renewable installed capacity is now at 87,025 MW.

    net capacity addition based on coal compared to 3,533 MW in previous fiscal. Coal capacity addition at 32% of total capacity addition. Total coal based installed capacity is now at 205,134 MW.
