Water Watch: Allocation of water for Nagpur city for the period 2019 - 20

  • 172,000 million litres
    Raw drinking water set aside for Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) to supply to Nagpur city. The decision was taken by the Maharashtra Water Resources Regulatory Authority (MWRRA) on 21 Nov 2019. The city will get 152,000 million litres water from Totladoh reservoir and 20,000 million litres from Kanhan reservoir according to Pintu Zalke, NMC’s water works committee chairman.

    Water supplied by NMC each day to the city currently, i.e. in Nov 2019.
  • 193,000 million litres
    Water withdrawn by NMC last year 01 Nov 2018 to 31 Oct 2019 against the allocation of 155,000 million litres.
