Located inside the Pench Tiger Reserve, the dam provides 70% of drinking water to Nagpur city. राज्यात सर्वत्र सुरू झालेल्या पावसामुळे बळीराजा सुरूवातीला सुखावला होता, मात्र पाऊस अजूनही थांबण्याचं नावच घेत नसल्यानं आता तो चिंताग्रस्त झाला आहे. नागपुर जिल्ह्यात तोतलडोह धरणाचे एकूण 14 दरवाजे तर पेंच नावेगाव खैरी धरणाचे 16 दारं उघडण्यात आले आहे.

First overflow of the season on 22 Aug. 4 of 14 gates of Totladoh (Pench) dam were opened on Sat (22 Aug) and then the very next day, all 14 gates were opened (as seen in the photo). This means there would be no shortage of raw water for one year especially in next summer.
