Capacity of a Waste-To-Energy plant that National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) plans to set up in Surat, Gujarat. NTPC and Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) have signed an MoU for setting up the plant for converting about 1,000 metric tonne of organic waste to energy. SMC will segregate organic waste at source and supply to the plant at NTPC.
