Rs. 250 billion
Nepal's agricultural goods import bill for the fiscal year 2019-20 - an all-time high. Imports continue to expand as a result of the country’s import-promoting policies, high production costs and change in consumer behaviour, among other factors. The agricultural goods imports bill in 2009-10 amounted to Rs 44.43 billion. In 10 years, it has grown by almost six times.
