takeover of ARM, a British chip designer, by SoftBank was overwhelmingly backed by shareholders. Some British entrepreneurs bemoan the acquisition of one of the country’s biggest tech companies. The Japanese technology group will pay a 43% premium on the share price and has promised to double ARM’s workforce and maintain its headquarters in Cambridge.
