Annual revenue that analysts say 3 casino based resorts planned in Japan could generate if the go through a bill that will be introduce in parliament. Public support is tepid, at best. But the opportunity is hard to ignore - Greater Tokyo, with over 35m people including legions of wealthy retirees, could easily outstrip tiny Singapore as a gambling hub. Sheldon Adelson, the billionaire boss of Las Vegas Sands, calls Japan the “ultimate business opportunity”.
